[TLG #17] Roaring 20s and some Lannage

Look lively TLGians, as it's time for another telegramatic enjoyment session!

That's right! Toowoomba LAN Games are back from their Christmas holiday and now the games must begin!

As you can probably guess from the introduction (unless, of course, you're retarded, in which case we wouldn't want you here anyway, devians), this LAN's theme will be the Roaring 20's, back when women were still women, zoot suits were supreme, and three bumblebees bought a ride on the tram to the potato farms!

Anyhow, enough quaint 20's terms! Here's the details:

Where: Weier's 'house', a dwelling that feeds its inhabitants largely through the moss on the floor. (As seen on Animal Planet)
When: Friday 12pm until Saturday 4pm (The LAN will run into Sunday if participants are willing, so how about you grow a pair and stick around)
What to bring: Urgh, must we do this again? Okay, you'll need to bring a computing device (if you want to be a wise-ass and bring a calculator, be my guest), some Cat5/6, a powerboard and appropriate extension cords, as well as a variety of refreshments and whatever you feel you'll need to last the night. Surely this isn't your first trip away from home...
How much: Fourteen and one dollars are required for entry. This will cover pizza, drinks and go towards future equipment purchases (or eps's slush fund on the Caymans)
Who's invited: Everyone*
What to wear: Break out the zoot suits, pinstripes and whatever 1920's regalia you can find. Women (or failing that, I) will be allowed to wear their (my) crazy flourishing dresses, often with extravagance exceeding practicality.. but who's bitter...

So don't be a carpet bagger, round up your monies and attend our excellent event, otherwise it's curtains for you! There will surely be plenty of confections and... urgh... I've run out of 1920's terms... screw this, why didn't we choose Pirates as the theme? At least when we're busted by the police, we'd make the evening news.

* - N.B. Our current insurance policy clearly stipulates that 'Josh', aka "devians" or whatever the nubcake is calling himself these days, will not be permitted entry. Due cause for this is evident.

Editors (Skaet/Eps/Ctn) note: The new venues location will be given out to those who RSVP or by jumping on the website or IRC. A map to the location is available. This lan will most likely be close to full and we will be capping numbers if needed so RSVP is important this time. We will be coming in costume so you should as well - some people are putting in more effort than others... Bismarck we hope you're dress is as pretty as you've told all the boys on the block! ;)
